Mark, the lid has just been delivered helped your driver get the old one in the Van. Can’t believe how light the new one seems, managed to get it out of the packaging and onto the tub on my own, would never of managed that with the old lid.

My vita spar had an air lock in the heater/ pump line. Yr explanation and time spent on the phone helped me identify the problem.
After draining and then refilling my spa IN THE FILTER port... The fault codes did not occur and the spar ( and wife ) are now very happy.

David, It all works !  Thak you for all your help and patience on this project it all works well although I need to make a couple of tweaks to finesse the installation. I do not fully understand how the Balboa unit works, in terms of frequency of it running etc when turned to not 24 hours, it seems to come on a  little randomly. I made an installation mistake in that the air control is placed where it  is difficult to turn on/off on a daily basis so the amount of air on low speed pump is excessive (see third picture) so it is fairly loud as the low setting on the pump is still actually pretty high for the installation.  In due course I will need a straight coupling in the 1 1/4" pipe and I will order that on line. The filter does not leak at all. The 3 jets with the 2 suction's seems to be a very good installation and I am grateful we reduced the pump capacity.

 Just to say thank you for the replacement hot tub lid inserts you provided free of charge even though the guarantee had expired by one month.  I can only reiterate how much I appreciate this.  They arrived yesterday and are now in place and the old ones taken away.   When the inserts were changed over, I noticed that the old ones only had a single lining and I thought I had ordered double lining originally.  It makes no difference now but I just thought I ought to let you know just for your information.  The new inserts said double lining on the delivery note which is good.

Can I also ask for your advice.   When the old inserts were taken out it was evident just how brittle the outer lining had become in such a short space of time and I am wondering what more I can do to protect my new one.   My husband makes sure he leaves the lid off for at least half an hour when he treats the tub with chemicals and I hosed down the lining about every 2-3 weeks with fresh water to minimise chemical damage.  I would be grateful for any further advice you can give me.  The Spaform hot tub we have does run via a timer for a few minutes twice a day to keep the water circulating and clean - would this make a difference?

Just to confirm safe receipt of our hot tub lid, it is complete and it fits perfectly. One small general remark however for all your other lids to be delivered to other customers, the screws as supplied (to fix the straps/click system to the hot tub) have a too big head so the click-system does not 'click'. Advice: supply screws with a smaller head. All arrived safely and up and running, will keep you on file for future use. Carol massey
